2026-03-27

On March 24, Liu Wei, Party Secretary of the School of Integrated Circuits at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), and Miao Xiangshui, Dean of the School, visited PolarisIC to hold discussions with Zhang Rui, the company's Vice President of R&D and an HUST alumnus, regarding the preparatory work for the Integrated Circuits Alumni Chapter under the HUST Wuhan Alumni Association. The meeting was also attended by Jiang Bo, Deputy Party Secretary of the School; Luo Wei, Assistant to the Dean and Deputy Director of the Wuhan Future City Management Office (on secondment); faculty members Zhang Lina and Yang Aohan; Li Xueheng, Vice President of Operations at PolarisIC; and several alumni representatives currently employed at the company.

During the meeting, Vice President Zhang Rui presented the company's development history and core product portfolio. Deputy Party Secretary Jiang Bo outlined the School's current development status and its strategic planning and key objectives for the 15th Five-Year Plan period.

The two sides held in-depth discussions on the establishment of the Integrated Circuits Alumni Chapter and exchanged views on alumni resource engagement, as well as industry-academia collaboration in areas including equipment application, joint talent cultivation, and student career development. Faculty members also engaged in cordial exchanges with PolarisIC employees who are HUST alumni.

This exchange has advanced the preparatory process for the Integrated Circuits Alumni Chapter under the HUST Wuhan Alumni Association, while also building a bridge for deeper ties between PolarisIC and the School, and expanding opportunities for industry-university-research collaboration.
